Project 3 : Site Design

Part 1 Design Due: 3/25 New date 4/01

There are several companies that need a website created for one of 4 markets.

Pick a company:

• Wired
• Kellogg's
• Mcdonalds
• Burger King
• Disney Parks
• Nike
• MTV
• Tiffany & Co.
• Prada
• Heinz

Pick a market which the current company isn't in today:

• Mobile Tech (phones, mp3 players...)
• Cars
• New house development
• Drink

 

You will design a site that will help promote their new endeavor. The site and products selected should reflect what you think their current brand and target market groups are.

You will need to first create the design in Photoshop and present it to the class next week as Part 1 of this project. Then you will need to take that design from Photoshop and turn it into a website in Dreamweaver that will be published to your site.

• Design: In Photoshop a main page design and a secondary page design should be made. For the class presentation of the design please save the images as JPGs and move them to your site. Create a link to the images so we can review them.(30) points
• You will need a navigation method to go across all pages.(10) points
• You will need to have at least 8 images.(10) points
• You will need to make at least 3 links active. (10) points
  • 1 main html page
  • 3 sub pages
• You will need to use CSS style(30) points
• Project must be loaded to your website under art222 and linked from you home page that was created in the first class. (10) points
  

This project will be worth 100 points.

You can use:

• images from the web (Please create a small credits link that will launch a page that lists the URLs that images were grabbed from) or use Pixabay
• your own photos
